Extraperitoneal Pancreatic Transplant

This illustration describes the four main steps of a specialized surgical technique for a pancreatic transplant. The procedure involves positioning a donor pancreas and attached duodenum in the preperitoneal space of the patient, allowing a duodeno-enteric anastomosis to take place with the violation of only a few centimeters of the peritoneum.
